The mission of the Museum of Speed is to preserve and share the history of racing in Bedford County at the Bedford Fairgrounds. One of the oldest dirt tracks in PA.

This bridge is a Burr Truss bridge with horizontal bracing at truss top level. It spans Bob’s Creek, just west of Route 869, about 1.5 miles northwest of Osterburg. Bypassed by a steel and concrete bridge in 1973, it is now closed with a cable across the entrance. County owned.
It has vertical boards on the lower 1/3rd of the bridge. It sits on stone and mortar abutments.

Hunting deer, turkey, black bear and most small game is a popular use of the forest during designated seasons. Other than a few safety zones around buildings and picnic areas, hunting is permitted throughout the state forest. A 1,357-acre tract has been designated in the Sideling Hill area for off-road access by disabled hunters.

This county owned bridge stands at the entrance to Old Bedford Village in Bedford. It was was built in 1880 in Reynoldsdale and was moved to its present location in 1975. It is a burr truss design which has been reinforced with steel to support bus traffic that frequents Old Bedford Village.
The structure is unpainted and the roof is constructed of Cedar shakes. The deck consists of crossboard planks and the sides are totally enclosed. It sits on poured concrete abutments.

The Federated Library System of Bedford County provides library resources to the entire county of Bedford through it’s 4 outlets – in Everett, Saxton, Bedford, and Hyndman. It coordinates activities and resource sharing throughout the county, including children’s story times, adult programming, and other activities.
Felten’s Mill Covered Bridge, as it stands today, was built in 1892 to replace an 1889 bridge that was destroyed in the 1889 flood. It is located on private land beside Felten’s Mill. It crosses Brush Creek, downstream of Jackson’s Mill Bridge, just south of Breezewood. It is Privately owned and can only be viewed from E. Mattie Road upstream. (indicated on map) The bridge is 100 feet long. It is not traversable or accessible.

The Flight 93 National Memorial is a memorial built to commemorate the crash of United Airlines Flight 93, which was one of four aircraft hijacked during the September 11 attacks in 2001.
Fort Bedford was built by the British as part of their fortified supply road, Forbes Trail. The road was the instrument that helped the British eradicate the French presence at Fort Duquesne. The fort was a protector of that road. The museum was constructed near the site of the 1758 fort. Fort Bedford Museum is located in downtown Bedford, 110 Fort Bedford Drive. Admission charged. As Friends of Flight 93, we welcome worldwide all who would join us in honoring the sacrifice and courage of the passengers and crew of Flight 93 by supporting the mission of the Flight 93 National Memorial with volunteers, resources, and civic engagement, so as to inspire all who visit with the Flight 93 story.
We are a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to protecting, improving, and promoting two of Bedford County’s treasured state parks. As a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, the group brings community members together to support these natural spaces through volunteer efforts, events, and advocacy.
The group hosts activities throughout the year, including monthly hikes, First Day Hikes, and community events such as Art in the Park. Volunteers also help with trail maintenance, park cleanups, fundraisers, and other projects that benefit Shawnee and Blue Knob State Parks.
