The Allegheny Plateau Audubon Society was founded in 1984 with the following purpose: Data collection, education, preservation, conservation & restoration of birds and other wildlife and their habitats. The Allegheny Front Hawk Watch and the Dunnings Creek Wetlands are managed by the Allegheny Plateau Audubon Society and our events are usually open to the public. This includes owl banding, butterflying, birding, hiking, picnicking, surveying, and outdoor gathering. Please see our website for details!

The Bedford County Development Association is the first stop for any business person considering expanding or locating in Bedford County. In the past few years, the staff, with the assistance of federal and state legislators, has secured more than $30 million in grants or loans for projects that have provided employment for thousands of workers in the county.
