We are a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to protecting, improving, and promoting two of Bedford County’s treasured state parks. As a local chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, the group brings community members together to support these natural spaces through volunteer efforts, events, and advocacy.

The group hosts activities throughout the year, including monthly hikes, First Day Hikes, and community events such as Art in the Park. Volunteers also help with trail maintenance, park cleanups, fundraisers, and other projects that benefit Shawnee and Blue Knob State Parks.
