Step into spring at one of Bedford County’s most picturesque working farms, where rolling fields, fresh air, and new life set the scene. Discover Bedford County is proud to partner with Monsour Farms to offer a limited-capacity, guided farm tour designed for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to reconnect with the land in a meaningful, memorable way.
Spend a morning walking the rolling fields of a 600-acre, family-owned farm, established in 1979 and home to 750 North Country Cheviot sheep, 25 Scottish Highland cattle. Walk through open fields surrounded by playful baby animals and experience the joy of spring on the farm.
You’ll enjoy a guided, 1.5-mile farm walk led by owner Jackson Monsour, who will share stories, insights, and the day-to-day realities of modern farming.
Along the way, you’ll walk among playful young lambs in the fields, see super cute Highland cattle up close, learn about sustainable farming practices, and experience the sights, sounds, and rhythms of spring on the farm.
Your tour concludes with a visit to Monsour Farms store, where you can shop for farm-raised meats, wool products, and local goods. Take a piece of Bedford County home with you.

This is a walking tour of approximately 1.5 miles across active farmland. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Guests are encouraged to bring water, though some will be available if needed. Jogging strollers are welcome, but standard strollers may be difficult to push in field terrain.
Tours are limited in size to ensure a quality experience. This is a working farm, and conditions may vary. Weather or farm-related changes may require rescheduling.
